Tom Biography
Tom was born Thomas Matthew Delonge on December 13th, 1975. He was born and raised in Poway, Ca into a middle class, religious family. Tom would go to church every Sunday with his family. Although this aside Tom wasn’t the picture perfect child every parent expects, no Tom was alternative. Tom discovered Alcohol at a very young age and soon before his 15th birthday he was expelled from school for drinking at a school basketball game.

Toms two main interests at the time where skating and the guitar the latter of the two which he applied himself to the most. Tom had developed his love for the guitar when he went on a church camping trip, for most of the trip he borrowed his friend’s guitar and fumbled around on it instead of applying himself to the activities the other kids engaged in. When he got home Tom immediately started on about getting a guitar and soon after one of his friends who worked at a scrap yard salvaged him one.

Tom began to play guitar constantly and very quickly he had mastered the basics of the instrument. Tom also noticed he had a great talent which accompanied his playing, his voice. Tom was happy playing by himself for a while, playing tunes by Stiff Little Fingers, Dinosaur Jr., and The Descendents he continually increased his playing level, but he was looking for something more so he decided to form a band. Toms first band was called 'The Big Oily Men' and never went anywhere infact the people in the band where anybody that Tom could talk into playing with him (haha) and the members where constantly changing the main reason was that the others he played with weren’t into the Californian punk scene as he was and he was to stubborn to budge and play the styles of music they wanted.

After Tom realised the ‘The Big Oily Men’ weren’t really going anywhere he stopped messing around and immediately started moaning to his friends about wanting to form a proper band. One of the people he moaned to was Anne Hoppus. Anne told Tom about her brother who had just moved to California and was also looking to form a band. Anne arranged a meeting and the two guys met up they hit it off immediately and put down the basis for the huge pop-punk superstars they would become in the future.

Tom still lives in San Diego with his now wife Jennifer and the couples recent good news their daughter Ava. Tom has a huge amount of tattoos covering the right part of his chest and all down his right arm, including an alien ship, an image of New York City and the famous Blink bunny. Tom is part owner of two new major clothing companies, Atticus and Macbeth. The other owners of the companies include Mark and members of The Used, H20 and Finch.
