Travis Biography
Travis was born Travis Landon Barker on November 12, 1975. Travis was born, and grew up in Riverside California. Travis grew up playing the drums, starting when he was only about 4, but he only really got serious about it when he was about 12. In between he played a couple of other instruments including the piano. Just like Mark and Tom, Travis was a huge punk fan from early on one of his favourite bands being the descendents, although unlike Mark and Tom he had a very diverse taste in music incorporating many other styles other then punk and reaching as wide as the likes of Latin and jazz fusion.

Sadly Travis’ mother passed away when he was 10, and some of her final words to him where to follow his desire to become a musician. So from then on Travis practiced everyday devoting most of his time to his drums and trying to become the best he could be. Travis also had plans to become a pro skateboarder but after a near serious accident he began to wander whether that was a good idea and so back to the music.

Travis began to play with bands and has played in a number of famous bands such as Suicide Machines, Feeble and The Aquabats he even stepped in to play for the Vandals for a while. Travis first met his later to be counterparts Mark and Tom while playing with the Vandals and then later on when he was with the Aquabats the two guys asked him if he wanted to play in the up and coming pop punk band Blink One Eighty Two. Travis accepted their offer and in mid 1998 he left the Aquabats and joined Blink.

Not long after he joined Blink Travis started his very one company, Famous Stars and Straps. A belt and buckle store that sells clothes and various types of memorabilia. Travis was married to his long term girlfriend Mellisa but the couple got divorced. Travis is now dating playboy model Shana Moakler and the couple have recently had a baby son called Landon. Travis also has a rather large collection of cars, especially Cadillac’s of which he has about 6 but could be more by now.

Blink aside Travis has recently embarked on projects with two other bands the first, Boxcar Racer which also includes Tom and now the Transplants with Tim Armstrong from Rancid. Travis lives in California with his fellow bands members. He also has a huge amount of tattoos covering all parts of his body a couple include a radio, the Cadillac symbol and a set of praying hands. Travis also has his lip pierced.
